I’m very lucky to be part of a small team of flower ladies who arrange floral displays at St. Peter and St. Paul church in Weobley, Herefordshire. I’m offering a slightly different package to other florists for two reasons, firstly, my services are completely free (the only costs incurred by you are the flowers that we choose for your celebration and a small donation to the church), and secondly, as I’m aiming to become more sustainable, I do not use floral foam in any of my arrangements. I’m also starting to grow more flowers at home to add to the foliage which already comes from my garden.
The Blooming Ribbit has evolved quite simply from my enjoyment of flower arranging and in taking the stress away from those brides that might be on a tighter budget.
Please do get in touch if you’d like to know more – there’s no obligation.
Flowers for that Special Occassion

Weddings
I prefer to meet at the church because I can explain exactly what I can create for your special day. There are many decorative options available using foliage, tulle netting and ribbons which all help to keep your overall costs down. I also have a number of photographs to show you so that you have a clear idea of the arrangements. All I ask is that you come prepared with your colour choices for your wedding day and perhaps a favourite flower so that we can incorporate this into the decorations.

Events
Sometimes the simple floral arrangements just work. Whether it be afternoon tea with teacups and saucers and checked tablecloths or something more elaborate I can offer you many solutions. Taking the time to look at the smaller details add to the overall look and feel of an event. For example jam jars with co-ordinating ribbons and table cloths that complement the colour scheme placed on each table at the event will look very welcoming to your guests.

Celebrations
A Bronze Award is in sight for St. Peter and St Paul Church Weobley which is embarking on a new challenge! The Eco Church Award is a Rocha UK Project and encourages churches to embark on a more sustainable floral journey. Churches are well known for their floral and foliage displays as part of their weekly community worship, weddings and other celebrations. However, consideration now needs to be given to the impact that some floral arrangements are having on the local environment too ie the disposal of floral foam, the conditions that some flowers are grown in and the journey that some make to our supermarkets. I ensure that my floral arrangements are all foam free, I grow as much as I can in my own back garden and (as far as possible) I use seasonal flowers.
